Our Traveling Assistant Superintendent opportunity is a challenging and rewarding opportunity with great career growth potential! You’ll get to work with a Lead or Senior Superintendent onsite as we serve as the general contractor on large, custom ministry facilities through the Midwest, East, South, and Southeast. Current project opportunity available in Lakeland, FL.

Key Responsibilities under the direction of lead Superintendent:

·       Actively assist in management of subs, QA/QC programs, and project schedule.

·       Enforce all safety policies.

·       Utilizing Procore to track daily logs, meeting minutes, photos, and other key project reporting.

·       Perform some manual labor such as general site clean-up, installing fences, signage, or other like tasks.

·       Assist in the preparation of RFIs, provided recommended solutions for consideration.

·       Seek opportunities to enhance project efficiency.

·       Coordinate necessary required inspections.

·       Support logistics planning.

·       Work on special projects, as assigned.

·       At times, cover as the sole Superintendent when Leads have PTO.

·       May assist with call-backs and warranty work support on completed projects.


Qualifications:

  • A minimum of five years’ experience as part of complex commercial construction site activities
  • Excellent ability to communicate with subcontractors, suppliers, owners, and management
  • Procore or similar project management software experience
  • Lean construction and pull planning experience a plus
  • Strong job history with a superior safety track record
  • Strong computer skills
  • Extensive knowledge of construction industry means and methods
  • Thorough understanding of architectural, civil, mechanical, and electrical plans and specifications. Ability to demonstrate creative problem-solving skills;
  • Integrated Design-Build project delivery experience considered a plus
  • Strong understanding of OSHA requirements. OSHA 30-hour certification

The employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts, high precarious places.  · Overtime may be required to meet project deadlines · Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse and other business machines · While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk; · Use hands to finger, handle, or feel; · Reach with hands and arms; · Climb or balance including climbing stairs and ladders, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and · Personnel are expected to perform repetitive physical tasks that require lifting, pushing, and pulling of material/product and standing throughout each day. · Talk or hear · The employee is occasionally required to sit. · The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. · The noise level is usually loud.
