Nuclear Medical Technician - Nuclear Med Technician / Radiology

Job Details:
\n
• Work 5x8 schedule from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
\n• On-call requirement: one night per week and one weekend per month
\n• Call hours are 5:30 PM to 6:30 AM Monday-Friday and 24 hours Saturday-Sunday
\n• 13-week assignment duration
\n• Handle daily caseload of 15-18 patients across 4 rooms plus PET/CT
\n• Treat patients of all ages from adolescents to geriatrics
\n• Prepare, administer, and measure radioactive isotopes for therapeutic, diagnostic, and tracer studies
\n• Perform general nuclear medicine studies including bones, renals, gastric emptying, GI bleeds, HIDAs, thyroid uptake/scan, parathyroids, VQ perfusions, cardiac and EPT/CT
\n• Calculate doses and prepare stock solutions of radioactive materials
\n• Required skills: IV starts, phlebotomy, EKGs, PACS
\n• Must have experience with cardiac, bone scan, brain scan, lung scan, renal flow, thyroid studies, SPECT, myocardial procedures
\n• Required certifications: BLS, NMTCB (ARRT )
\n• Minimum 2 years of Nuclear Medicine Technician experience required
\n• Must work independently and be experienced and proficient
\n• Virginia license required or proof of application with active license from another state
\n• Must attend Epic training class (accelerated or 2-day)
\n• Dress code: Pewter Grey scrubs
\n• Travel experience required, seasoned travelers
