Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with at least 1 year of academic medical center experience and PET/CT proficiency.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Assignment is in a hospital-based nuclear medicine department specializing in PET/CT
  • Patient population includes both PET and general nuclear medicine exams
  • Work with Siemens Biograph mCT 64 and Medrad Intego automated injector
  • Administer unit doses of FDG, Posluma, Amyvid, Dotatate, and Cerianna
  • Shifts are Monday through Friday, 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM, transitioning to 4x10 hour shifts (Monday-Thursday, 9:00 AM to 7:30 PM) after training
  • No on-call required
  • Duties include venipuncture, glucometer operation, patient screening, scanning documents, and computer charge entry
  • Daily use of DICOM, MIM, and McKesson PACS for imaging and document management
  • Responsible for proper cleaning of incubation rooms and cameras after patient use and stocking supplies
  • Strong emphasis on radiation safety and regulatory standards
  • A 6-month break is required for returning travelers or former employees to be eligible
  • No local candidates will be accepted if residing within 50 miles of the facility
  • All requested time off must be disclosed at the time of application
  • Weekly occurs every Monday except holidays
  • Parking can cost up to $43 per day

\n \n Requirements\n

  • Minimum of 1 year experience as a nuclear medicine technologist in an academic medical center
  • PET/CT experience preferred
  • Current BLS certification from AHA required
  • ARRT (N) or CNMT required
  • Massachusetts Radiation Technologist license required if applicable
  • Knowledge of and adherence to ALARA principles and USP<825>
  • COVID and Flu vaccinations required (medical exemptions accepted)
