Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with Epic experience and current OR Nuclear Medicine registration for a rotating day shift assignment.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Position is in a hospital Nuclear Medicine department
  • Rotating weekday schedule with 4x10 hour day shifts; shifts start between 6:30 AM and 8:15 AM and end between 5:00 PM and 6:45 PM
  • On-call required approximately 7 days per month after department closes until the next opening
  • Must be willing to float within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate facility as needed
  • Adult patient population with various nuclear medicine procedures performed
  • Epic charting required
  • Performs a variety of nuclear medicine procedures in compliance with hospital policy
  • Will be expected to take call/standby after hours and must be willing to respond to low-volume calls
  • Strict RTO policy; requested time off must be finalized at submission and cannot be changed afterwards
  • Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers
  • Former permanent employees must wait 6 months after termination before applying as a traveler
  • Pre-employment modules required and non-billable, to be completed before start and annually
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • No trauma level or pediatric care experience specified
  • Scrub or dress code not specified

\n \n Requirements\n

  • Current or pending OR Nuclear Medicine Technologist registration required (license required if applicable)
  • Registration with NMTCB or ARRT (Nuclear Medicine) within 6 months of hire
  • BLS from AHA required within 90 days of hire
  • ACLS required within 6 months of hire
  • Must pass a Basic Cardiac Monitoring class within 4 months of hire
  • Strong experience operating Nuclear Medicine gamma cameras, probes, computers, and survey meters
  • Minimum 1 year of Nuclear Medicine experience
  • Epic charting system experience is required
  • COVID vaccination required
