Travel Nuclear Med Technician (Radiology) – 13-Weeks Contract- Carlsbad, NM
Start date: ASAP
Must have NM LICENSE
Hours are 7:30a - 4:00p M-F
No On Call
No Weekends
13 Week Guarantee with Possibility of an Extension
Required: Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification, ARRT and NM License
No option for 48 hr. Guarantee
No Option for Blocked Scheduling

What We’re Looking For:

Must hold current ARRT certification
-
Experience performing CT and X-ray exams independently
-
Strong ability to maintain accurate records and keep the department stocked & organized

A motivated professional who thrives in a fast-paced hospital setting
Your Role:
-
Provides diagnostic aid to physicians by conducting organ or body scans on patients.

Administers and records isotope dosages in accordance with established departmental protocol.

Observes patients during procedures and reports any abnormal activity.

Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision.

A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a chief technologist or manager.

Bachelor's degree and at least 1 year of experience in Nuclear Medicine, and registration with the Nuclear Medicine Technology certification Board, the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (A.R.R.T.). Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Experience with Philips Brightspeed recommended.
