Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced Transportation Project Manager to play a key role in shaping the future of infrastructure across Central Texas. The ideal candidate will have a proven background in Public Works and/or TxDOT projects, strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all phases of transportation and construction projects, from planning through closeout, ensuring timely completion and adherence to project scope, budget, and quality standards.
  • Coordinate project schedules, resources, and deliverables while maintaining open communication with clients and internal teams.
  • Develop detailed project plans that align with client expectations, agency requirements, and organizational objectives.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, address field issues, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Prepare, review, and manage contracts and change orders, ensuring compliance with terms and effective cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Utilize construction estimating tools such as HeavyBid to prepare accurate and detailed cost assessments.


Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in project management or coordination within the transportation or construction industry.
  • Demonstrated experience managing Public Works or TxDOT projects from inception through completion.
  • Strong knowledge of construction management principles, scheduling, and contract administration.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, and HeavyBid (or similar estimating and design tools).
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with attention to detail and a results-driven mindset.
