Job Summary

The Transportation Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the fleet at our Bakery Feeds facility in Butler, KY. https://www.bakeryfeeds.com/

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

• Supervision of the Fleet Mechanic in relation to daily operations of the fleet.
• Responsible for transportation of raw materials; schedules all outgoing finished product and the transportation of such.
• Responsible for all routes and routing process; makes changes as necessary to ensure route efficiency; schedules all drivers ensuring compliance with DOT regulations.
• Sets schedules and start times for raw materials transfer drivers to ensure a constant flow of material to the plant.
• Responsible for maintaining current accounts and enlisting new accounts in designated area.
• Provides prompt, efficient, quality service to all customers in area.
• All other duties as assigned by management.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience in routing processes; supervision of route drivers.
• Prior route delivery experience a must.

Qualifications

• Communicates clearly in verbal and written form.
• Highly organized; superior time management skills.
• Ability to maintain composure in difficult situations; adaptable to changing situations.
• Leadership ability; able to direct and supervise others.
• Computer skills a must.

Physical Demands

• Frequently required to walk, stand, sit, climb, balance, stoop, bend, and kneel.
• Frequently must push, pull, move or lift up to 100 lbs.
• Regularly required reach with hands and arms.

Work Environment

Job functions will be carried out at a plant location, customer locations, and in company vehicle.
