Great full time job opportunities with established Towing company with 60 plus years of service in the Community! Gene's Towing is looking for a reliable and motivated individual to join our team of dedicated professionals. A perfect opportunity for retired drivers those that have long served in the transportation industry! We are hiring for a Dispatcher Manager who is not afraid to take charge! Starting shift will be swing shift Monday-Friday. 

Job duties include: ​

• Promptly answers incoming calls from customers in need of services
• Asking basic questions of Customers related to current needs
• Remains friendly and approachable with Customers
• Efficiently dispatches multiple different Classes of trucks
• Multi-task using multiple computer screens while using radio and answering phone lines simultaneously
• Quickly make sense out of convoluted data
• Accurately tracks all calls from initiation through completion
• Coordinates service and schedules of drivers
• Monitors location of Drivers and trucks
• Answers multiple phone lines
• Prioritize calls in order to schedule and dispatch Drivers and appropriate trucks
• Entering call data accurately and clearly into towing software program
• Determines the response needed for all dispatching situations
• Records, coordinates and accurately relays information of all calls and dispatches
• Communicates effectively with drivers to ensure they are responding to the correct location and status
• Contacts customers to collect payments.
• Manage 4-6 Dispatchers
• 24/7 Availability
• Finding coverage for open shifts
• Covering open shifts
• Manage 4-6 Dispatchers
• Dispatch Direct Report
• Answering call questions
• Create, update, distribute and manage Dispatch schedule
• Working with Driver Manager and Operations Manager to ensure efficiency
• Working with HR on Disciplinary related issues
• Assist HR with recruiting, training and processes
• Complete, monitor and review new dispatcher training and processes
• Act as a liaison between drivers, dispatchers, yard tech and Managers
• Follow up and follow through on processes, polices and procedures
• Update contact information in towing software
• Create “Bus Book” for Dispatch
• Other duties as assigned

Experience & Qualifications:

1-2 years Towing dispatch experience (or equivalent i.e. dispatching multiple types of trucks)

1 year high volume Dispatching

1 year Supervisor/Management experience

1 year Customer Service experience

Computer literacy
