We are looking for a dedicated Transport Planning Coordinator to take the reins in coordinating international and cross-border road transport operations in Hemel Hempstead. In this full-time role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring that our logistics processes run smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the overall success of our organisation.

Responsibilities in your new role as Transport Planning Coordinator
As a Transport Planning Coordinator, you will be tasked with planning and scheduling daily international and cross-border road transport operations, optimising routes and resources to ensure efficiency. Collaborating closely with drivers and partners, you will monitor vehicle movements to maintain smooth and efficient transport flows. You will proactively oversee order management, prioritizing outstanding shipments and ensuring everything is processed and delivered on time. Your organisational skills will shine as you manage collections and deliveries, record all transport data accurately, and address any queries with a focus on delivering top-notch service quality.
Your personality, experience and qualifications
The ideal candidate for this role will have significant operational experience with a proven track record in a similar role within an international transport and logistics environment. You should have at least 3-4 years of experience in route planning and route optimisation specifically for HGV trucks. A strong understanding of legal compliance and regulations is essential. You will bring a mature personality, excellent interpersonal skills, and a respectful, solution-oriented approach, especially when managing challenging interactions.
