Transport Planner - Middlewich - Permanent Role - Previous Transport Planning Experience Required

Monday to Friday 08:00 - 17:00

Salary: £34,000 (depending on experience)

Silver Arrow require a Transport Planner to work for a prestigious & niche transport company based in Middlewich. This role can provide a really interesting mix of work as planning can be for multiple different operations.

\n

A transport manager CPC qualification is preferable, though not essential for the candidates with the right attributes

\n

Your Role:

\n

\n
• Planning and allocation of nationwide and European automotive, plant and agricultural machinery deliveries

\n

• Involvement with the scheduling and planning of modular building installation projects

\n

• Ensuring that the operation complies with all regulatory legislation and best practices

\n

• Ensuring consistently reliable driver behaviour concerning safety, legality, efficiency and profitability

\n

• Managing day-to-day issues of the remote driver workforce, including welfare and pastoral matters

\n

• Dynamic evaluation of operational decisions likely to affect group performance and Customer experience

\n

• Daily liaison with line managers to identify operational exceptions and implement solutions

\n

• Balancing own fleet use and sub-contraction

\n

• Minimising fleet empty running

\n

\n

What we need from you:

\n

\n
• Previous experience of working in a fast placed logistics environment, with specific experience of driver management and route planning

\n

• European planning experience would be advantageous

\n

• Knowledge of import / export processes would be beneficial

\n

• A transport manager CPC qualification is preferable, though not essential for the candidates with the right attributes

\n

• Strong IT skills.
