Transit Technician
Starting salary: $20.00 per hour, rising to $20.50 after passing required certification (approx. 6 months).
Responsibilities:
- Perform corrective and preventative maintenance, inspections, repairs, and adjustments to all train “monorail” systems and components of an electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic nature
- Repair or replace defective parts utilizing manuals, drawings, specs, or other written or verbal instructions.
- Applies technical knowledge of electronic principles to solve problems using diagrams, schematics, engineering data and test equipment
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of electronic and/or mechanical experience, or equivalent technical school training
- Must have excellent electronics and mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to maintain detailed records of troubleshooting and repairs
- Ability to work holidays and weekends
- Valid Nevada driver's license Must be highly dependable
- Must be able to communicate in written and spoken English (for safety reasons)
- Ability to work day/swing/night shift
