Job Summary:

The Training, Safety, and Quality (TSQ) Specialist plays a key role in shaping the growth and development of NTI’s workforce. This position is focused on delivering high-impact training and skill development programs while supporting safety and quality initiatives in the field. The TSQ Specialist will conduct regular field observations on ISP/OSP projects to identify training needs, support team development, and reinforce a culture of continuous improvement. By combining technical expertise with hands-on support, the TSQ Specialist ensures employees are empowered, equipped, and aligned with NTI’s commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support technical training programs, new hire bootcamps, e-learning platforms, and on-the-job skills acquisition initiatives.

  • Collaborate with leadership to maintain and deliver training matrices and onboarding plans that support employee growth across departments.

  • Conduct job site visits to assess employee development needs, observe work practices, and identify opportunities for improvement in training, safety, and quality.

  • Deliver engaging training content through in-person, virtual, and digital formats, tailored to various roles and skill levels.

  • Support the integration of new team members by promoting NTI’s culture, evaluating early performance milestones, and ensuring alignment with core expectations.

  • Conduct skills assessments to measure technical proficiency and help employees progress through NTI’s career development program.

  • Collaborate with project managers and subject matter experts to embed training and quality into daily operations and project planning.

  • Lead risk assessments and job hazard analyses (JHAs), ensuring training needs are addressed proactively in higher-risk activities.

  • Contribute to incident reviews by helping to facilitate root cause analysis, document lessons learned, and recommend training-related corrective actions.

  • Promote a behavior-based training approach by coaching field leaders and encouraging positive reinforcement in the workplace.

  • Track and support the implementation of corrective actions following audits, site visits, and quality reviews.

  • Plan and facilitate training sessions across departments, ensuring learning objectives align with both organizational goals and individual development.

  • Provide general support to the TSQ team and contribute to strategic initiatives as needed.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  • Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage team members at all levels.

  • Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively.

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a construction or data center environment with knowledge of fiber optics and communication technologies.

  • Previous teaching or training experience is a bonus.

  • Work Environment:

    • The position is based in a dynamic construction setting with exposure to active production operations.

    • May occasionally involve working in varied environmental conditions, including extreme heat or cold, elevated noise levels, vibration, and exposure to airborne particles associated with a construction environment.

    • Physical Requirements:


    • Role involves a range of physical activities, including standing, walking, sitting, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, climbing and other movements as needed
