Position Overview

The District Training Specialist will be responsible for support all District Wide development and training in a variety of modalities and spaces. Using the District Training Plan, they will drive creation of all content and development.?

District Overview

Kiewit Power Constructors (KPC) provides direct-hire construction services for Power utilizing a union craft force. Kiewit Power Constructors builds major EPC power plant and solar farm projects throughout North America.

This position is based out of

Lenexa, KS

and

Require 50% travel, 75% at peak. This is not a remote position.

Responsibilities

Work closely with the Power Market HR Business Partners to execute the Training Plan outlined on the District Business Plan

Use data-driven analysis to identify training gaps and areas of improvement

Act as a consultant during business planning to incorporate solutions to identified training gaps?

Partner with corporate Talent Development to execute established staff and craft training programs in the districts

Responsible for coordination and continuous improvement of the Power New Hire and Core Course programs:

New Hire Training Program

Field Engineering Training

Project Engineer Training

Superintendent Training

Senior Operations Training

Responsible for the development of the District Development Plan

Hold projects accountable to rotations program, training plans and People Wall management

Travel up to 50% of the time to facilitate on-site training

Qualifications

5+ years of experience working in a leadership role, training and developing individuals

Strong team player and attitude to help others

Passion for teaching and mentoring others

Ability to confidently speak and teach in the classroom environment?

Excellent organizational, administrative, communication and interpersonal skills

Fundamental understanding of the Adult Learning Model

Experience in delivering presentations, experience in delivering training in-person, virtual and hybrid classrooms

Various experience in operations, learning management and/or teaching .

Construction operations experience is helpful for this role.

Associate Professional in Talent Development a plus.
