Job Title: Trainee Project Manager\n\nLocation: Peterborough\n\nSalary: £26,000 per annum + 20 Days Holidays plus Bank Holidays + Training/Progression\n\nJob type: Full Time, Permanent\n\nExcellent opportunity for a Trainee Project Manager to join a reputable Peterborough based company, in a role that offers progression and industry recognised training opportunities.\n\nWe're a well-established company covering a range of construction sectors including healthcare, public housing, commercial, education, insurance & leisure projects.\n\nThe company pride themselves on delivering a high-quality service to all clients and have therefore developed long term business relationships. These relationships have helped increase our workload, catalysing us into a period of expansion and we're now looking to bring an ambitious Trainee Project Manager to support our expansion.\n\nIn this role you will shadow senior members of staff and will be responsible for overseeing adaptation and commercial projects varying in size and value, ensuring they are completed to a high standard & H&S compliant.\n\nJob responsibilities include:\n\nYou will be the Customer's point of contact for all projects under your control, these projects will be monitored & directed by the Contracts Manager & Head of Operations.\nYou will have responsibility for planning projects including arranging materials with the purchasing department, writing method statements and risk assessments and organising labour.\nYou will need to deliver the high service demanded by our customers by acting in good faith and as required by Westone Housing, to promote the success of the company and maintain high standards of business conduct.\nRaising Work orders for assigned contractors\nEnsuring H&S is maintained on all sites under your control\nComplete site surveys, monitoring visits and working with our SHEQ Manager to ensure all projects are completed to a high standard.\nRaising variations on projects as they develop.\nArranging building control for projects\nManaging project budgets\nCompleting final accounts and working alongside the accounts department to ensure swift payments on projects completed.About you:\n\nRequired experience:\n\nExperience of the construction industry would be beneficial but not essential.\nExcellent problem solving, planning and process control skills\nAbility to effectively prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.\nExcellent Communication Skills\nWorking to deadlines and targetsKey Characteristics:\n\nStrong interpersonal and organisational skills.\nClear thinker and innovator.\nStrong oral and written communication skills.\nStrong process in approach to work.\nSelf-motivated and proactive.Must Have:\n\nClean Driving LicenseBenefits: \n\nCompetitive Salary\n20 days holiday per year plus bank holidays\nPerformance Bonus - Profit related\nCompany pension scheme\nCycle to work scheme\nBenefits Hub discounts on retailers, days out, restaurants, holidays and more\nFunded qualificationsPlease click on the APPLY button to submit your CV for this role.\n\nCandidates with the experience or relevant job titles of; Graduate Project Management, Project Administrator, Trainee Project Estimator, Project Planning, Trainee Project Coordinator, Senior Project Lead, Construction Projects, Building Surveyor, Construction Project Manager will also be considered for this role
