JOB DETAILSWe are looking for a motivated and technically minded individual to join our Engineering team as a Trainee Field Service Engineer. You will become one of Apogee’s front-line representatives, learning to support and maintain devices across client sites, ensuring we deliver exceptional service every time.
You will receive full training and coaching – including a dedicated induction programme in Lincoln (with all travel and accommodation expenses covered) – to give you the skills and confidence to succeed.
This role will pay minimum wage + bonus scheme + car and will offer progression in the future
What You Will Be Doing
During your training and beyond, you will learn how to:
Respond to customer service requests for the repair of business equipment
Monitor devices proactively for faults and consumable requirements
Diagnose and resolve faults through cleaning, adjustment or part replacement
Carry out preventative maintenance and installations
Use Apogee and client systems to record activity and report on progress
Liaise with customers and our internal teams to maximise satisfaction
Manage onsite stock of spare parts and consumables effectively
Provide guidance to customers on how to get the most from their equipment
A typical working pattern is Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 17:30, with a one-hour lunch break. This role is fully remote at client sites. Attendance at our offices is required periodically for team meetings and training.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREDWe are looking for someone who is:
IT savvy, with either a technical qualification or some technical experience
A confident communicator, professional and courteous with customers
A logical problem solver who can follow procedures and think ahead
Able to work under pressure, multitask and manage time effectively
Self-motivated, flexible and eager to learn new skills
