Job Description

An established drylining and interiors contractor based in West Sussex is looking for a Trainee or Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone fresh out of university or with up to 2 years’ experience who’s keen to develop their career in construction.

You’ll be working alongside experienced Quantity Surveyors, supporting on live projects across the South. This role offers full training, clear career progression, and exposure to all aspects of commercial management within the drywall and interiors sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting in the preparation of project valuations and cost reports
• Supporting the QS team in tendering and procurement
• Measuring and valuing work on site
• Assisting with subcontractor management and payment applications
• Helping manage budgets, variations, and project costs
• Learning and applying contract administration processes

What We’re Looking For:

• Degree (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management
• Strong numerical and analytical skills
• Good communication and organisation
• Keen to learn and progress within the construction industry
• A genuine interest in interiors, drylining, or fit-out projects
• Full UK driving licence
