Town Planner: Senior Planner - Consultancy

Beach Baker is representing a well-established multi-disciplinary private consultancy in Bristol, who are seeking a Principal Planner to join the team due to growth and expansion.

The Role

As a Principal Planner, you will be responsibility for defined pieces of work that aligns with the business functions, specific duties will include:

• Taking the lead on planning activities
• Providing daily management of projects in agreement with the project lead
• Ability to manage budgets and time.
• Strong report writing skills.
• Direct client liaison and provision of strategy advice as appropriate to experience and role within project team.
• Representing the company at meetings and external events.
• Representing clients at appeal hearings and other committee meetings
• Assisting in the management of junior colleagues.
• Commercially aware with an ability to manage time independently and work on an array of projects, alongside the ability to delegate effectively.

Essential criteria:

• RPTI Accredited degree
• MRTPI
• Residential project experience

Desirable criteria:

• Strategic Land Experience
