TIG Welder

The Welder is responsible for welding stainless steel components to create watertight tanks and other sub-assemblies using TIG or Laser Welding Robot technology, depending on the product. The role also involves fabricating welded sub-assemblies such as brazed tubes and welding hardware to panels.

Requirements of the TIG Welder

  • Fluent in English
  • TIG welding certification
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints
  • Skilled in TIG welding thin stainless steel sheet metal (12–22 gauge)
  • Comfortable using fabrication tools such as cutoff wheels, grinders, and sanders
  • Must pass a hands-on welding test or provide sample welds

Responsibilities of the TIG Welder

  • Perform TIG welding on stainless steel sheet metal and hardware using autogenous, homogenous, and heterogenous techniques
  • Operate and maintain the Laser Welding Robot and welding booth
  • Inspect welded components to ensure they meet quality and engineering standards
  • Clean, repair, or touch up nonconforming welds
  • Collaborate with engineering to improve assembly drawings, processes, and fixturing
  • Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work area
  • Support other welding department activities as needed

1st shift, DIRECT HIRE

Pay is $25.00 - $28.00 an hour, based on experience
