Overview
Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Marine Pipe Welders for a project located in and around Freeland, WA. This is a first shift opportunity with a pay range of up to $36/hour based on experience plus $164/Per Diem to travelers 60+ miles from the job site. Job Scope:
- Preparation and layout
- Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, drawings and piping schematics
- Prepare and align pipe joints for welding, beveling, cleaning, fitting and tack welding
- Select correct filler metals, consumables and welding processes
- Welding fabrication
- Perform welding on a variety of piping systems, fuel, lube oil, hydraulics, fire main, potable water and steam
- SMAW, stick, GTAW, TIG, GMAW, MIG and FCAW Fluxcore
- Installation, repair and weld pipe spools, flanges, brackets and support for shipboard systems
- Repair cracked, damaged or corroded piping and fittings
- Perform hot-work aboard vessels
- Inspection, testing and conduct visual inspections of welds for defects
- Prepare welds for non-destructive testing such as xray, dye penetrant, ultrasonic or magnetic particle inspection
- Repair and/or re-weld as necessary
Responsibilities
- Minimum of 3+ years of Marine Welder experience
