Senior Testing & Commissioning Manager\n\nSalary: £85,000 – £90,000 + package\n\nRole Overview\n\nThe Senior Testing & Commissioning Manager oversees all testing, inspection, and commissioning activities across multiple projects. The role includes managing test operatives, ensuring full regulatory compliance (BS7671, BS5266, PME/ESSW), coordinating with project and design teams, and ensuring all testing works are delivered safely, accurately, and in line with programme and budget.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nProject Leadership & Coordination\n\n• Lead and manage all project testing and commissioning activities across several sites.\n • Attend pre-construction meetings and prepare/review project ITPs.\n • Manage testing resources, monitor progress against programme, and control testing-related costs.\n • Liaise with project managers, designers, clients, and subcontractors.\n • Attend commissioning meetings and provide technical updates.\n\nTesting, Inspection & Compliance\n\n• Ensure all LV testing complies with PME procedures, ESSW, BS7671, GN3, and project standards.\n • Inspect LV fixed wiring and emergency lighting installations (BS5266).\n • Oversee protective device settings, torque requirements, and switchgear inspections (including FAT/SAT).\n • Ensure test equipment and leads are compliant and available.\n • Manage client witnessing of test results and support NICEIC certification.\n\nDocumentation, Quality & Record Management\n\n• Manage project test folders, ensuring accurate test result entry and document control.\n • Review and approve all electronic test results.\n • Update test schedules, modular wiring sheets, QA records, and snag lists.\n • Ensure all emergency lighting logs, drawings, and documentation comply with BS5266.\n • Review handover documentation and inspection reports.\n\nPME Procedures, Safety & Control\n\n• Monitor and enforce PME ESSW procedures, LOTO processes, key control, and permit systems.\n • Ensure RAMS compliance and maintain security of areas under PME control.\n\nSnagging & Close-Out\n\n• Track and close out snags, non-compliances, and inspection issues.\n • Monitor Gateway Tracker IDs and ensure testing milestones are completed.\n\nEssential Requirements\n\n• Strong background in LV testing, inspection, and commissioning.\n • In-depth knowledge of BS7671, BS5266, PME procedures, and electrical safety rules.\n • Experience managing testing teams and multiple simultaneous projects.\n • Excellent communication, documentation, and coordination skills
