Job Title: Test Systems Software Engineer

Rate: £70 per hour via Umbrella (Inside IR35)

\n

Location: Cheltenham (Onsite at least 3 days a week)

\n

Contract Length: 12 Months

\n

Role purpose

\n

On-going critical work that effects customer deliveries of ELMS panels, that needs on-going resourcing.

\n

\n

Key Responsibilities

\n

\n
• Writing release documents

\n

• Configuration control of code (in IBM ELM aka RTC)

\n

• Configuration control of documentation (Windchill for Word document)

\n

• Co-ordinating and leading document reviews and release tollgate meeting

\n

• Co-ordinating with stakeholders any deviations or exceptions to process

\n

• On-site informal verification of software and debugging

\n

• On-site kicking off formal verification

\n

• Hosting independent DQA

\n

• Daily update to team, including proactive blocker reporting and task estimation

\n

• Writing code from schematics (Automeg & C++)

\n

Qualifications / Requirements

\n

\n
• Good documentation skills.

\n

• Good communication & interpersonal skills.

\n

• Good problem-solving skills.

\n

• Familiarity with a formal software lifecycle and documentation set.

\n

• Ability to read and interpret schematics

\n

• Coding skills.

\n

• An ability to debug software on target hardware.

\n

• Experience with formal configuration control (e.g. IBM ELM, Windchill)
