Job DescriptionTest Development EngineerInitial 6-month contract Inside IR35On-site in High Wycombe ElectronicsAn advanced electronics technology business in High Wycombe is looking for a Test Development Engineer to take ownership of developing and improving automated and manual test systems used across cutting-edge electronic products and sub-assemblies.This is a hands-on, high-impact role where youll work closely with manufacturing, design and quality teams, and play a vital part in new product introduction, production support and continuous improvement.Test Development EngineerWhat Youll Be DoingDesign, develop and support functional test solutions (hardware & software) for electronic assemblies and systemsCreate and maintain automated test programs using industry ATE platformsWrite, debug and validate production-ready test softwareConfigure and integrate electronic test equipment including oscilloscopes, DMMs, power supplies, electronic loads, spectrum analysers and DAQ systemsBuild, modify and maintain test fixtures and jigs, with a strong focus on automation and efficiencyAnalyse production test data to identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvementWork cross-functionally with manufacturing, design, quality and external suppliers to resolve test and production issuesInfluence Design for Test (DfT) and Design for Manufacture (DfM) during new product developmentAct as a key technical contact supporting subcontract manufacturers during production testingDrive improvements in test coverage, reliability, throughput and yieldEnsure test solutions meet safety, quality and regulatory requirementsTest Development EngineerWhat Were Looking For5 years experience developing test solutions for electronic productsStrong hands-on experience with electronic test instrumentationConfident fault-finding down to component level on PCBAsThank you for your application.
