Job Description
Test Design Support Engineer required for long term contract assignment in Bolton\n\nResponsibilities\nYou will act as the interface between our design teams and our manufacturing teams while working alongside other support engineers to provide knowledge and support. \n\nWhilst the primary aim is focused on highly advanced module missile programmes and subsystems, there is also scope to work on other unique opportunities including support to launcher assemblies.\n\nThe role offers the candidate a true engineering challenge in their core discipline(s), whilst providing scope for personal growth and development in other areas of electronics. \n\nSkillset/experience required:\n\nTo be suitable for this role, Individuals will be able to demonstrate a number of the following attributes:\n* Degree qualified (or equivalent industry experience) with experience of designing product/systems and/or providing support to designs through the manufacturing phase of the product lifecycle.\n* Proven experience in the design of one or more of the following disciplines:-\n Digital and Analogue electronics\n Power Electronics\n RF & Antenna\n Interconnects\n Safety Electronics\n Test Systems\n Schematic design\n PCB Design\n Adherence to BS EN Standards\n\n* Excellent verbal communication, negotiation and influencing skills with the capability to write clear and concise engineering documentation.\n* Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team, with an awareness of the challenges and opportunities that this may bring and a passion for innovation and collaboration.\n* You'll be prepared to work autonomously if needed, lead the delivery of your work assignments, and actively engage with stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of your outputs.\n* Manage discreet work packages preparing bids, controlling costs and delivering solutions.\n* Experience in supporting manufacturing and resolving manufacturing issues is an advantage, but not essential.\n* Investigative skills to be able to find Root Causes of design related issues and propose robust Corrective Actions.\n* Finally, we are looking for someone who has a record of accomplishment of on-time delivery along with good verbal and written communication skills.\n\nModis International Ltd acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers in the UK.
