Matchtech is supporting a key client with the requisition of a Test & Commissioning Engineer for a contract position in Birmingham. This role will involve delivering hands-on testing activities across site-based systems, supporting the safe and efficient progression through both static and dynamic commissioning phases.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nExecute assigned testing activities in accordance with approved test plans and procedures\nUndertake a range of testing activities, including functional testing, interface testing, and fault investigation and support for rectification\nAccurately record, document, and submit test results in line with project requirements\nSupport testing activities during night shifts and weekends where required to meet programme needs\nWork flexibly across multiple disciplines to maintain project progress and programme momentum\nIdentify, escalate, and track defects and safety issues in a timely and proactive manner\n\nKey Interfaces:\n\nTest, Integration & Commissioning (TIC) and Systems T&C Engineers\nDiscipline Engineers across relevant systems\nConstruction Supervisors and site teams\n\nJob Requirements:\n\n4-8 years' Experience in rail testing within commissioning environments\nExposure to Light Rail, Metro, or Conventional Rail systems\nProven ability to operate effectively within time-critical, fast-paced commissioning programmes\nIf you are an experienced Test & Commissioning Engineer seeking a new contract opportunity in the rail sector, we would love to hear from you.
