PrimECS, L.L.C. is seeking a highly qualified candidate for the position ofTemporary Works Engineerwho shall use their geo-structural engineering skills and understanding of construction means and methods to timely and cost-effectively deliver multi-faceted construction engineering projects.

The successful candidate shall handle the following responsibilities:

  • Work closely with construction projects and interact with the project teams.
  • Prepare engineering calculations for designs and perform design checks.
  • Plan and model structures and systems using software such as AutoCAD and Revit Design.
  • Develop technical documents, construction plans, and other professional correspondences.
  • Effect innovative design into construction methodology to save time and money.
  • Prepare and conduct structure condition assessments including data collection and analysis.
  • Monitor daily activities and report job progress, operational needs, and work discrepancies.
  • Review/resolve issues linked to technical documents (specifications, drawings, submittals, etc.).
  • Provide technical support for proposals for bidding, construction, and post-construction phases.
  • Lead project meetings and coordinate the collection and dissemination of technical information.
  • Develop and implement project-specific quality and safety plans.
  • Provide internal and external technical training on design, planning, and construction processes.
  • Promote a sense of team amongst staff that is consistent with the companys core values.
  • Perform other project-related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • A four-year college degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
  • An M.S. Degree in Civil Engineering with a structural or geotechnical focus is a plus.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in temporary engineering analysis and/or design.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in the U.S. or the ability to obtain it within 12 months.

REQUISITE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google products, and professional computer use.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, 3D modeling, and other technical software is highly desired.
  • Advanced level of fluency in written and spoken English, including technical writing.
  • Strong interpersonal, time management, organizational, and project leadership skills.
  • Ability to remain effective under pressure with multiple priorities and tight deadlines.
  • Ability to properly manage resources and projects.
  • Technical knowledge of materials and construction concepts.
  • Training, coaching, and mentoring skills.
  • Strong ability to review contracts and adhere to contract requirements.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, independently and remotely.
  • Possession of a valid drivers license and the ability to drive for extended periods of time.
