A leading construction-led engineering consultancy is seeking a skilled Temporary Works Engineer to join its growing London team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious engineer with at least 4 years’ experience in temporary works design who is looking to work on technically challenging projects across the UK’s built environment and infrastructure sectors.\n\nWorking as part of a highly respected engineering team, you will contribute to the delivery of innovative and buildable temporary works solutions on complex construction projects including basements, demolition, structural alterations, high-rise developments, and major infrastructure schemes.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nDesign and deliver temporary works solutions from concept through to detailed design\nPrepare calculations, drawings, reports, and technical specifications\nLiaise closely with contractors, clients, and project teams\nAttend site visits and provide engineering support during construction\nDeliver practical and buildable solutions aligned with construction sequencing and site constraints\nContribute to design reviews, risk assessments, and value engineering exercises\n\nRequirements\n\nMinimum 4 years’ experience in temporary works or construction engineering\nDegree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering\nStrong understanding of BS 5975 and temporary works procedures\nExperience working on complex construction or infrastructure projects\nProficient with structural analysis software and engineering design tools\nExcellent communication and problem-solving skills\nProgressing toward Chartership (ICE or IStructE) would be advantageous\n\nWhat’s on Offer\n\nOpportunity to work on landmark UK projects\nExposure to complex temporary works and construction methodology engineering\nCollaborative and technically strong engineering environment\nClear progression and professional development support\nCompetitive salary and benefits package
