RESPONSIBLITIES:
- Provide in-person IT support at events around the country
- Travel to various cities within the U.S., occasional international travel opportunities
- Work onsite to install, monitor, and disassemble computer and network equipment for events
- Troubleshoot and problem-solve basic computer and/or network-related issues
- Provide onsite customer support to clients at events
- Provide real-time communication to F1 employees onsite, and respond professionally to all manners of communication
- Keep track of hours worked and out-of-pocket expenses
- Follow directions from F1 leadership and event collaborators before, during, and after an event
- Receive onsite hands-on training
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be 21 years of or older
- Eligible to work in the U.S. (I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification required). Students requiring OPT or CPT need not apply.
- Physical and manual labor. Ability to set up/breakdown computer equipment; lots of walking, kneeling, standing, and lifting of computer hardware and other equipment.
- Basic computer skills and literacy, working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite a plus
- Ability to travel 1-2 weeks at a time, once or twice throughout the year
- Communicate professionally and in a timely manner; exhibit proper grammar and the English skills necessary to respond to all manners of communication (i.e. emails, in-person, WhatsApp, etc.)
- Excellent customer service
- Work well in a team environment and under the direction of management; ability to follow instructions, be proactive and flexible to changing plans/processes
- Well-organized and have attention to detail
- Self-motivate to successfully complete all tasks
- Maintain professional standards of conduct
OTHER DETAILS:
- Flights and lodging covered by F1 Consultancy. Other expenses may be eligible for reimbursement (i.e. meals, ground transportation, etc.)
- Work opportunities are event-based (“gig work”); therefore, frequency of events and working hours are variable.
- Work from home not available. Employees travel to various cities to support events onsite. Employees are expected to work onsite for all consecutive days according to their schedule.
- Not eligible for health insurance or other benefits.
