Temporary Finance Systems Project Manager – Outside IR35
\n£550 – £600 Per Day
\nHybrid – 2 to 3 days in Central London office, remainder WFH
\nDuration: June 2025 – January 2026 (4 to 5 days/week depending on workload)

We are currently seeking an experienced Finance Systems Project Manager to lead the implementation of a key finance systems project within a organisation. This role reports directly to the Assistant Director of Finance (Project Sponsor) and offers a fantastic opportunity to join a high-performing team delivering critical systems improvements within a well-established organisation.

\n\n

About the Role:
\nAs the Finance Systems Project Manager, you will take full ownership of the planning and execution of a complex finance system implementation. The ideal candidate will bring a track record of success in delivering finance systems projects, with strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, and technical project management expertise.

\n\n

Key Responsibilities:

\n\n

\n\t
• Define project scope, objectives, timelines, resources, and acceptance criteria.

\n\t

• Lead and motivate the finance project team to meet delivery goals.

\n\t

• Maintain clear communication with all stakeholders on progress and challenges.

\n\t

• Manage project resources efficiently, ensuring delivery within budget and timescales.

\n\t

• Identify project risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.

\n\t

• Track and control project costs, timelines, and deliverables.

\n\t

• Ensure all outputs meet required quality standards and stakeholder expectations.

\n\t

• Liaise with system suppliers and internal teams, developing excellent customer relationships.

\n\t

• Compile and submit regular project updates and reports.

\n\t

• Design and manage user training and UAT.

\n\t

• Oversee project closure and successful handover.

\n

 Qualifications & Experience:

\n\n

\n\t
• Member of the Association of Project Management (APM) or equivalent, with strong credentials.

\n\t

• Proven experience delivering finance system projects end-to-end.

\n\t

• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

\n\t

• Membership of a professional accountancy body is desirable(e.g. ACCA, ICA, CIMA).
