Technology Senior Project Manager

Due to a period of sustained growth we are looking to recruit a Technology Senior Project Manager to join our Project Management team
The Senior Technology Project Manager's role is to ensure the successful delivery of projects in a controlled environment. You are experienced in dealing with the challenges of changing priorities, and the ability to make pragmatic decisions in response to business objectives.
You’ll have a naturally consultative approach when dealing with the business, and will be able to provide leadership, advice, guidance, coaching and direction to project team members.
Responsibilities
Project Coordination
- Delliver technology projects within the agreed Foster + Partners project management process
- Work with senior stakeholders to establish project scope and requirements
- Consolidate and document the fundamental components of projects (scope, schedule, resource requirements, budgets, risks, opportunities and issues and quality requirements)
- Create transition plans in collaboration with internal operational teams to enable the effective integration and handover of project outputs into operational activities
- Empower and inspire project team members to deliver successful projects
- Identify and resolve differences between individuals and/ or interested groups
Project Delivery
- Secure the provision of resources needed for projects from internal and/or external providers
- Agree contracts for the provision of goods and / or services, monitor and manage variances
- Determine the best means of satisfying requirements within the context of project objectives and constraints
- Identify, define, evaluate, and plan the business benefits of projects
- Define, develop, and manage quality management processes across the project lifecycle
- Manage stakeholders, considering their levels of influence and particular interests
- Identify and monitor project risks (threats and opportunities), plan and implement responses to them and respond to other issues that affect projects
- Ensure the effective communication of changes to those affected
- Ensure the relevant service transition training and documentation is handed over to operational teams
- Thorough knowledge of and compliance with Foster + Partners procedures and standards
Change Management
- Providing expert change strategy and planning for technology enabled business change challenges
- Engage with senior business and technology leaders, programme and project managers, to deliver the change agenda
- Partner with business leaders as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor in:
- Assessing and classifying the business change to determine the right change strategy and approach
- Ensuring that the appropriate change management tools and methods are applied to technology projects
Essential Qualities and Skills required
- Formal project management qualification, e.g. Prince2 Practitioner, AGILE
- Expertise in transformational change and change management methods and their application, with emphasis on driving measurable business results
- Utilising business analysis techniques to assess and document business requirements
- Proven experience in delivering enterprise wide - core business services projects
- Proven experience in delivering technology projects using waterfall and agile methodologies
- Excellent leadership and people management skills
Desirable skills and experience
- Formal change management qualification, e.g. APMG Change Management Practitioner
