We are seeking an Technical Writer to join the company, a premier supplier, in Warren, MI US 48093. While working in this clean and climate-controlled facility you will have the opportunity to be directly involved in the evolution of the industry. Shift:- 1st shift Job / Mon-Fri; 8am to 5pm with flexibility core hours between 9am to 3pm

Job Responsibilities:

MSID Technical Service Information Author

• Develop and author mechanical service information procedures and related technical content for the following commodities: Chassis, HVAC, Powertrain, Body, Interior, and Exterior.
• Edit existing mechanical service information content as required
• Utilize Teamcenter and Vis Mockup to create graphics from math data.
• Utilize Arbortext to develop the text of the procedures, while creating and using text strings when applicable.
• Manage publication content by section, subsection and information type
• Communicates information to and from internal and external customer organizations
• Proficient with use of MS Excel, MS Word, and Arbortext.
• Knowledge using CAD visualization techniques, with Teamcenter and Vis Mockup
• Illustration and graphics development skills
• Technical writing background is
• Dealership experience as a technician
• Good organizational skills• Ability to clearly communicate complex subject matter
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Good level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others
• Ability to work independently and with others
• Ability to work in a production-based environment with adherence to delivery schedule timing.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science or English, journalism, communications PERFERRED

•              What degrees or certifications are required? Bachelor's degree in technical fields, automative or engineering is required.

•              Minimum years of experience? Open to people who have recently graduated if they do not have much work experience. However,  open to someone that has at least 5 years’ experience working at a dealership or car shop.

Technical Writing & Content Development: Ability to author and edit mechanical service procedures using Arbortext. Strong understanding of technical documentation standards and ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly.

CAD Visualization & Graphic Creation: Proficiency with Teamcenter and Vis Mockup for creating graphics from math data. Skills in illustration and graphics development to support service information.

Software Proficiency- Hands-on experience with Arbortext, MS Excel, and MS Word for content creation and management. Familiarity with CAD visualization techniques and related tools.
