Title - Technical Writer
Client - NOAA
Location - Silver Spring, MD
Full Time

1. Provide writing/editing support by producing documentation appropriate for its intended audience;

2. Work with internal teams on product and documentation requirements;

3. Write easy-to-understand user interface text, online help, and developer guides;

4. Disseminate materials as required;

5. Manage manuscript submission, editorial review (including assigning reviewers) and publication process for scholarly journals using ScholarOne;

6. Provide scientific editing for scholarly journals;

7. Ensure products meet Section 508 compliance requirements;

8. Manage editing and publishing of agency scientific reports, such as Technical Memoranda.

Deliverables:


1. Up-to-date log of manuscript submissions, editorial reviews and publication processes for scholarly journals;

2. Produce clear and concise documents on an as needed basis.
