Job Description
The Technical Writer will:

- Prepare, submit, and manage publication packages through the NSWCDD public document release process.
- Track document approval workflows and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure timely publication and release.
- Develop, write, and maintain technical and administrative documentation for government programs and systems.
- Create and update system test procedures, user operation manuals, preventive maintenance instructions, and troubleshooting guides.
- Perform technical writing activities in support of engineering, testing, logistics, and operational requirements.
- Manage document configuration control processes to ensure accuracy, version control, and compliance with applicable standards.
- Maintain oversight throughout all phases of document development, review, publication, and maintenance.
- Edit and revise existing government documents, reports, manuals, and presentations for technical accuracy and consistency.
- Ensure documentation adheres to established formatting standards, style guides, and grammar requirements.
- Coordinate document reviews, incorporate stakeholder feedback, and maintain document integrity throughout the lifecycle.
- Support continuous improvement of documentation processes and records management practices.
- Ensure all technical publications comply with organizational, contractual, and regulatory requirements.

Job Requirements and Qualifications:
\n

- Minimum of three (3) years of experience serving as a Technical Writer, writing technical documentation while working with various subject matter experts.
- Strong technical writing and editing abilities.

\n
Experience Creating: Standard operating procedures (SOPs)
\n
- \n
- User manuals
- Policy documents
- Training materials
- Reports and briefings
- Knowledge-based articles
- System documentation
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n

- Ability to translate complex technical information into clear
- Experience developing and maintaining Department of Defense manuals, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Active Secret security clearance.
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
The anticipated salary range for this position is $95,000 to $105,000.
