The Leidos Civil NISC IV program is hiring for a Technical Support Software Engineer to support the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in Oklahoma City, OK. The candidate will be working with a team of computer/electronics engineering professionals redesigning/upgrading Engineering applications This position will be responsible for supporting and beginner development of the system software interfaces.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for Java/J2EE-based web applications in production and staging environments.
  • Troubleshoot application, server, and database issues by analyzing logs, stack traces, and monitoring tools.
  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring issues and implement preventive solutions.
  • Monitor application performance and system health using tools
  • Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to deploy patches, hotfixes, and configuration changes.
  • Support database-related issues by writing basic Oracle queries for troubleshooting and data validation.
  • Primarily participate in beginning phases of development of application software to include architecture, design, implementation, debug, validation, and verification with a web application / Oracle back-end
  • Primarily manage lifecycle to include requirements, system design, and test
  • Primarily produce software code that interfaces directly with hardware.
  • Primarily debug and troubleshoot commands in object-oriented programming.
  • Primarily analyze and translate requirements into system architecture that interfaces with hardware.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience. However, additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Basic understanding of radar systems principles (RF fundamentals, signal processing, antennas, propagation).
  • Knowledge of electronic troubleshooting techniques using tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and spectrum analyzers.
  • Familiarity with embedded systems, hardware/software integration, or control systems.
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, Ethernet, serial communication) for system connectivity troubleshooting.
  • Experience supporting technical systems in field or lab environments.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues methodically.
  • Preliminary skills in JAVA/J2EE, utilizing Spring MVC, Spring Security, JavaServer Faces, Eclipse/Hibernate/JPA, Oracle PL/SQL, Secure RESTful APIs/Services.
  • Some experience in developing GUI applications.
  • Agile & DevOps methodologies and tools.
  • JIRA/Confluence/GitLab/Liquibase
  • Application containers, Payara/WebLogic
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a public trust interim clearance.
  • Must be either a U.S. OR a U.S. Permanent /Green Card holder who has resided in the U.S.A for the past 3 years.
     

Qualifications:

  • JQuery/Angular/React experience
  • Experience with web-based application development.

Pay Range:Pay Range $69,550.00 - $125,725.00
