Role Overview As Technical Services Manager, you're the pivotal link between design preconstruction and on-site execution—bridging technical integrity with practical delivery in the evolving world of fit out in high tech environments. You’ll safeguard consistency, regulatory alignment, and cost-effective excellence across projects.
Key Responsibilities
Lead technical oversight across all project phases—from tender and design through procurement and fit-out—ensuring solutions are compliant, constructible, and aligned with client expectations.
Manage the technical review of architectural, M&E, infrastructure, and designs, verifying feasibility, clarity, and constructability.
Champion health, safety, compliance, and technical standards, embedding company reputation for quality-first delivery into every project.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to on-site teams, subcontractors, and cross-functional stakeholders.
Collaborate with project managers, design leads, and commercial teams to resolve technical challenges, mitigate risk, and streamline delivery.
Implement value engineering methods that enhance constructability and efficiency without compromising design integrity.
Ensure technical consistency across project documentation, RFIs, change orders, and variation control.
Support post-project reviews, capturing insights to continuously elevate technical standards.
Stay attuned to emerging materials, technologies, and sustainable methodologies, proposing innovations that align with sector trends and client needs.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
Extensive experience (typically 5+ years, ideally 7+) in technical management or coordination—especially in interiors fit-out, high tech environments, or complex office schemes.
Strong technical acumen in M&E installation in collaboration with the fit out subcontractors.
Proficiency in interpreting and coordinating across architectural, engineering, and contractor deliverables.
Proven track record of delivering to tight safety, quality, and cost standards—with high client satisfaction.
Excellent interpersonal skills: a collaborative communicator with the ability to guide, influence, and support diverse teams.
Sharp eye for production detail, constructability, and risk that delivers predictable, high-quality outcomes.
Desirable Attributes
Qualifications such as BEng, BSc, or HNC/HND in a construction-related discipline—or CSCS or relevant technical accreditation.
Familiarity with laboratory compliance standards (e.g., List‑X, cleanroom provisions) or bioscience facility requirements
Knowledge of digital collaboration platforms or document control systems used in modern interior delivery.
