Technical Sales Manager – Bespoke Balconies & Architectural Metalwork
Reading (Hybrid: 2–3 days office + site/client travel)
£95,000–£100,000 + Quarterly Bonus + Executive Car + Full Benefits
The Opportunity
We are working in partnership with a market-leading manufacturer of bespoke balcony and façade solutions, delivering high-quality systems into multi-storey residential developments across the UK.
This is a project-led, consultative sales role, focused on working directly with housebuilders, developers, and main contractors to secure and deliver bespoke balcony packages.
You’ll be joining a highly collaborative, high-performing team, where success is driven by shared expertise, technical input, and coordinated project wins—not siloed sales activity.
The Role
- Develop and grow relationships with housebuilders, residential developers, and main contractors
- Identify and unlock new project opportunities within multi-storey residential schemes
- Support projects from early engagement through to order and delivery (RIBA Stages 4–9)
- Work closely with estimating, design, and business development teams to secure projects
- Provide technical and commercial input on bespoke balcony and façade solutions
- Manage and convert a live pipeline of project opportunities into secured revenue
- Contribute to a team-based sales approach, sharing knowledge and relationships
What We’re Looking For
- Proven track record of selling into housebuilders and residential developers (essential)
- Experience in project-led sales within residential construction ( Essential)
- Background in bespoke or engineered products, such as: Balconies / balustrades, Architectural metalwork, Glazing systems, Staircases, Decking or bespoke joinery
- Strong understanding of the construction project lifecycle
- Commercially astute with the ability to influence, negotiate, and close complex deals
- Comfortable operating in a team-driven, non-territorial sales structure
