Technical Sales Manager
Job Description
My client are the global leader in industrial process fluids and engineering present in 40+ countries continually improving and innovating so the world’s steel, aluminum, automotive, aircraft, machinery and industrial parts manufacturers can stay ahead in a changing world.\n\nBased in Coventry, you will own proposal and estimating activities in line with my clients global sales strategy, as well as managing all spares business activities. Working closely with the global sales and engineering team, this is a key role to continue to help their customers build a better future, together.\n\nWhat will you do?\n\n * Management and ownership of primary delivery functions and key processes within Equipment Sales, Spares and Services.\n\n * Work with the Global sales and Engineering teams to produce comprehensive estimates and technical proposal documents in line with customer requirements and applicable regulations for bespoke capital equipment and service sales. As well as support any other business activity as required\n\n * As part of the management team, you will also include active input to the overall company strategy, direction and operational goals, in-line strategy\n\n * Manage the intercompany catalogue and pricing tool.\n\n * Manage costing records, order entry and sales administration systems, etc.\n\n * Ensure pricing and contractual terms follow profitability and cash flow goals, liaising with suppliers, sales team or direct customer contact as required.\n\n * Manage the spares and services team to deliver and efficient aftermarket support operation.\n\n * Assisting in the development of standardised methods, tools, and documentation manuals, to improve cost estimation and proposal production.\n\nWhat they’re looking for?\n\n * Solid experience in a similar role where leading the proposal and estimation process is key for success.
Ideally within the engineering, special purpose machinery or a similar environment. Any chemical process knowledge is a plus.\n\n * Excellent communication skills to manage internal and external stakeholders within a global and corporate matrix structure.\n\n * Understanding technical client specifications is a must including being familiar
