You’ll have the autonomy to develop opportunities, influence technical direction, and directly contribute to business growth.\n\nTechnical Sales Engineer\n\n£55,000 - £65,000 + c25% Bonus + £7K Car Allowance + Pension + Health\n\nOTE to£80,000\n\nCambridgeshire\n\nRef: 25290\n\nTechnical Sales Engineer - The Role:\n\nDevelop consultative, solution-led proposals for automation and control systems\nEngage with customers as a trusted technical advisor, understanding operational challenges and delivering value-driven solutions\nProduce accurate cost estimates across hardware, software, installation, and commissioning\nPrepare and present professional proposals, tenders, and quotations\nNegotiate commercial and technical aspects to secure profitable projects\nManage the full sales lifecycle from initial enquiry through to order placement\nSupport smooth project handover and collaborate with delivery teams\nMaintain strong relationships with both new and existing clients\nStay current with emerging technologies in automation and industrial systems\nTechnical Sales Engineer - The Person:\n\nDegree or diploma in Electrical, Automation, or related engineering discipline\nProven experience delivering automation or control system projects\nStrong technical knowledge of:\n\nPLC & SCADA systems\nElectrical and control system design\nIndustrial networking\n\nExperience with platforms such as Siemens or Rockwell (desirable)\nAbility to develop technical solutions, costings, and client proposals\nStrong commercial awareness and negotiation skills\nExcellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts\nA proactive, self-driven approach with a focus on results\nLocated in Cambridgeshire, ideal commutable locations would include Kettering, Corby, Peterborough, Northampton, Cambridge, Bedford, Kings Lynn and surrounding areas.\n\nFor further information please contact John Anderson.\n\nAE1
