Reed is recruiting on behalf of a leading UK distributor and manufacturer based in Normanton, our client is seeking a Technical Sales Support Advisor to provide expert advice and support to their customers.
\n
Day-to-day of the role:
\n
- \n
- Handle customer enquiries in person, over the phone, and via email
- Prepare and send customer quotations and follow up proactively to convert enquiries into sales
- Provide product advice and recommendations to customers visiting the showroom
- Process customer orders from quotation stage through to completion, ensuring a smooth transaction
- Build and maintain strong relationships with both B2B and B2C customers
- Offer technical product guidance on plant machinery, lawn and garden equipment, and related parts and accessories
- Assist customers in identifying and selecting the correct technical parts and components
- Maintain exemplary customer service throughout the full sales journey

Required Skills & Qualifications:
\n
- \n
- Previous experience in a technical sales support role
- Experience in identifying, sourcing, and advising customers on technical parts is advantageous
- Excellent communication skills, with confidence in dealing with customers face-to-face and over the phone
- Skilled in producing quotations and managing order processes
- Commercially minded, with the ability to upsell and follow through on opportunities
- Organised and proactive, capable of managing multiple customer enquiries effectively
- Background in plant hire, machinery, construction equipment, agricultural, forestry, outdoor power equipment, or technical parts sales is highly desirable
