Job Description:\n\nJob title: Technical Quality Engineer\n\nLocation: Hybrid | Open to candidates in the UK, Poland, France, or India\n\nJob type: Perm\n\nWorking hours: Day shift\n\nSalary: £50k per annum\n\nBenefits: Company pension scheme- 25 days annual leave + 8 statutory holidays, Christmas shutdown- BUPA Healthcare- Death in Service benefit- Long Service awards\n\nAMLR Engineering is working in partnership with a leading manufacturer of aerospace components based in Derbyshire who have been established for 30 years. They are renowned for machining, assembly, inspection, fabrication and sheet metal\n\nManufacturing parts for precision aerospace companies, you will become part of a well-respected company within the UK. The position will be based at the site in Central Derby.
Our client currently employ over 200 people at the site, we are now looking to add contract support to the work force to assist with the growth of the business.\n\nDue to the nature of the market our client supplies into, all candidates must be UK , and DBS checks (disclosure & barring service) may be required. Please also note at this time we do not offer visa sponsorship for overseas candidates.\n\nKey Responsibilities for the Technical Quality Engineer role:\n\n * Act as the internal technical quality focal point, supporting both central quality teams and site teams with complex technical queries.\n\n * Provide specialist support for the deployment of APQP deliverables and help implement APQP training across group sites.\n\n * Work closely with manufacturing engineering teams to improve planning, inspection processes, and share best practices.\n\n * Support and maintain NADCAP and customer process approvals, including preparation for site audits.\n\n * Conduct internal process audits to identify improvement opportunities.\n\n * Support the implementation of corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.\n\n * Provide quality expertise for Transfer of Work (ToW) and New Product Introduction (NPI) projects.\n\n * Support inspection teams with technical guidance including CMM strategies and GD&T interpretation.\n\n * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business growth, operational improvement, and quality initiatives.\n\nSkills and experience required for the Technical Quality Engineer role:\n\nProven experience in Quality Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering within a similar role.\n\nStrong experience implementing APQP deliverables.\n\nWorking knowledge of aerospace and quality standards including:\n\n * AS9100\n\n * ISO 9001\n\nStrong ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and engineering standards.\n\nExperience with sheet metal and machined component manufacturing, including surface treatments.\n\nExperience improving process planning, routing, and technical documentation.\n\nExperience working in highly regulated industries, ideally aerospace.\n\nKnowledge of inspection techniques, particularly CMM, is highly desirable.\n\nFamiliarity with structured problem-solving methods such as:\n\n * 8D\n\n * Ishikawa\n\n * 5 Why\n\n * DMAIC\n\n * DoE\n\n * Kepner-Tregoe\n\nExperience working with ERP systems.\n\nBenefits we offer for the Technical Quality Engineer role:\n\nCompany pension scheme- 25 days annual leave + 8 statutory holidays, Christmas shutdown- BUPA Healthcare- Death in Service benefit- Long Service awards\n\nHow to apply for the Technical Quality Engineer role:\n\nPlease submit your most up-to-date CV to n . lawry @ amlr .
