On behalf of our client, we are looking for aTechnical Project Managerfor a 6 month hybrid contract with a high likelihood to extend in Chicago, Illinois. We love this client because it is a company with a global presence, they have a dynamic culture, and there is an emphasis on technology.


AsTechnical Program Manageryou will have the opportunity to hone your leadership skills by managing geographically dispersed, multidisciplinary teams across multiple time zones. You will be engaging with key stakeholders and executives to provide support and get to participate in Steerco Meetings and Planning initiatives.


Here is what you will do on a day to day basis:

  • Run - the day-to-day execution of programs, projects and/or services, troubleshoots inquires
  • provide mentorship or training to peers
  • Progressive knowledge of concepts and business processes and how they can be applied or integrated into the business
  • Coordinate closely with Technical Product Owner(s), scrum masters, and agile delivery teams to implement to deliver sales and operational planning initiatives in the supply chain and supply planning space to enable growth, transformation, and process improvements.
  • Support initiative execution from start to finish working with delivery partners to plan requirements, manage program schedules & budgets, identify and manage program risks, and outline delivery strategies using Agile methodologies where applicable
  • Define, track and coordinate requirements and deliverables between a wide array of cross functional teams in different geographies to achieve a successful business value outputs.
  • Be a champion for promoting empowerment of the Supply Chain, Demand Planning and Supply Planning teams, ensuring that each team member is fully engaged in the program and making meaningful contributions.
  • Use tools to develop metrics to measure program performance and trends.
  • Conduct retrospectives to identify recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Assist in the coaching and development of team members, while holding teams accountable for their commitments.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities for the IT department and Agile CoE team
  • Agile Ways of Working & PI Planning support, influence teams to deliver timely completion & sense of urgency


Here is the type of person we are looking for:


  • Proven experience delivering complex integrated technology solutions using Agile principles and methodologies
  • Proactive leader with experience working in multiple domains across Supply Chain including demand planning and supply planning
  • Demonstrated ability in technical program management and program change management. This position requires a strong blend of demonstrated strong technical expertise, detailed planning, budgeting, strategic thinking and program leadership, to ensure the success of delivering business value outcomes
  • Natural leadership ability with keen attention to detail across multiple domains i.e., you are capable of leading multiple projects across domains like supply chain and finance
  • Streamlined communication, capable of explaining technical (and non-technical) initiatives to non-technical people at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience with managing geographically dispersed, multidisciplinary teams across multiple time zones.
  • 4+ years proven program management experience with globally distributed teams of project leads, product owners, analysts, developers, testers in an onshore/offshore model to deliver a complex roadmap.
  • Agile program management experience working with Scrum Masters and Scrum teams. Solid technical background, with hands-on experience in automated agile environments
  • High proficiency with Jira, Confluence, ERP, QAD or knowledge in SaaS 09 Planning tools; nice to have: experience in Zendesk or Blue Yonder or SAP tools
  • Self Starter with excellent organizational and time management skills 5. Strategic mindset and the ability to understand and communicate the broader business context and strategic importance of IT programs.
  • Excellent communication (written, verbal and visual) across all levels of the organization
