On behalf of our client, we are looking for aTechnical Project Managerfor a 6 month hybrid contract with a high likelihood to extend in Chicago, Illinois. We love this client because it is a company with a global presence, they have a dynamic culture, and there is an emphasis on technology.

As Technical Program Manager you will have the opportunity to hone your leadership skills by managing geographically dispersed, multidisciplinary teams across multiple time zones. You will be engaging with key stakeholders and executives to provide support and get to participate in Steerco Meetings and Planning initiatives.

Here is what you will do on a day to day basis:

• Manage and coordinate the delivery of B2B/EDI program-related initiatives working with cross functional teams, external Supply Chain partners and C-suite executives.
• Support Technical Product and Business Process Owners in program initiative delivery
• Progressive knowledge of concepts and business processes and how they can be applied or integrated into the business.
• Previous Supply Chain Management or Transportation Logistics knowledge and understanding (ideally already in Food and Beverage or Consumer Goods area).
• Coordinate with Technical Product Owner(s), scrum masters, and agile delivery teams to implement to deliver B2B/EDI and Integration initiatives to enable growth, transformation, and process improvements across the enterprise.
• Support initiative delivery from builds from conception to completion, working with delivery partners to plan requirements, manage program schedules & budgets, and plan/align IT resources
• Perform budgetary governance and assess financial impacts along with adopting risk mitigation strategies and removing roadblocks.
• Build relationships cross functionally and support steerco and governance initiatives.
• Ensure all projects within the portfolio align with the organization's long-term goals and strategic vision.
• Identifying, assessing and mitigating risks across the portfolio to ensure smooth execution of initiatives
• Utilize portfolio and program reporting tools to develop and share metrics to measure program performance and trends.
• Assist in the coaching and development of team members, while holding teams accountable for their commitments.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities for the IT department and PMO team

Here is the type of person we are looking for:

• Experience in a Supply Chain or Transportation Logistics related role, including understanding principal Supply Chain processes and terminology
• Principle working knowledge of Enterprise ERP Systems, ie SAP, Oracle, QAD Proven track record of working with Technical Product owners in managing the program delivery of B2B / EDI solutions.
• Strong Supply Chain or Transportation Business Process expertise Skilled in technical program management, change management, program financial management budgeting, strategic planning, and leadership.
• Experienced in leading multiple concurrent programs and cross-functional teams across time zones.
• Effective communicator able to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders at all organizational levels.
• Familiar with managing globally distributed, multidisciplinary teams in an onshore/offshore model.
• 4+ years proven program management experience with globally distributed teams of project leads, product owners, analysts, developers, testers in an onshore/offshore model to deliver a complex roadmap.
• Agile program management experience working with Scrum Masters and Scrum teams.
• Solid technical background, with hands-on experience in automated agile environments
• Proficient in Jira, Confluence, Asana, Microsoft Office
• Self-Starter with excellent organizational and time management skills
• Strategic mindset and the ability to understand and communicate the broader business context and strategic importance of IT programs.
• Excellent communication (written, verbal and visual) across all levels of the organization
