SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The Technical Project Manager (TPM) oversees and spearheads all aspects of the technical projects within our organization and is responsible for initiating projects, following their progress, and serving as support providers in case issues arise. The TPM will coordinate the efforts among internal staff and outside vendors, as well as develop effective schedules and suggest action items that still need to be completed to successfully conclude the project.

Job Description:

  • Drive new products and features through the development process.
  • Gather and create product requirements and specifications.
  • Ensures Project deadlines are met and completed within budget.
  • Reviews and test functionalities and product features to ensure functionality.
  • Provide technical leadership to drive the project lifecycle from start to finish.
  • Able to discuss high-level systems architecture, communicate effectively with engineers and understand engineering development processes including code review, development environments and testing strategies.
  • Track technical issues and implement solutions in a prompt manner
  • Effectively communicate project status(es) and suggest changes to use company resources more efficiently
  • Propose solutions to technical limitations using one’s technical expertise and experience, as well as provide expertise for escalated quality problems, and anticipate bottlenecks in the development cycle.
  • Identify technical impacts on the organization as they relate to business requirements and define strategies
  • Regularly participate in meetings to present progress, and share project information with other business units
  • Additional department relevant duties and support as needed based on business needs and objectives

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in a field related to technology, such as computer science, software engineering, IT, cybersecurity, or management information systems or a minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience in a like or similar role; a master’s degree, a plus.
  • Understanding of SDLC, Agile Project Management, and software delivery including build, test, deployment, and operations.
  • 3+ years of professional IT experience in web base and/or batch applications development.
  • Good experience with Project management tools such as Jira.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite and proficiency in Unix/Linux environment.
  • Leadership or management certifications are a plus.
  • Expert problem solver with excellent leadership skills who can motivate the employees to reach all company objectives.
  • Ability to work effectively independently, as well as in a team setting and with other managers.
  • Excellent verbal, written, communication and interpersonal skills.
