Technical Project Engineer\n\nSalary: Up to £55,000 + Bonus + Excellent Benefits\n\nThe Opportunity\n\nWe are seeking a Technical Project Engineer to manage the engineering design and delivery of medium-voltage electrical equipment projects. Working within a highly skilled technical team, you will oversee projects from initial design through to final delivery, ensuring high-quality solutions and excellent customer outcomes.\n\nThis role offers the opportunity to take ownership of multiple projects, coordinate cross-functional teams, and contribute to the successful delivery of critical electrical infrastructure solutions.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nLead the engineering design and execution of medium-voltage equipment projects\nProduce engineering drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and manufacturing documentation\nSupport Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) and provide technical guidance to customers\nCoordinate project activities, monitor progress, and ensure delivery to agreed timescales, budgets, and quality standards\nIdentify project risks and implement effective mitigation plans throughout the project lifecycle\nCollaborate closely with engineering, production, deployment, and quality teams to ensure successful project execution\nAct as a key technical point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders\n\nAbout You\n\nYou will have a strong technical background combined with excellent project coordination and communication skills.\n\nRequirements\n\nBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or a related discipline\nExperience working with medium-voltage equipment, switchgear, protection systems, or transformers\nStrong understanding of protection schemes, control circuits, and engineering documentation\nAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously with excellent planning and organisational skills\nStrong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to a range of audiences\nProficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD or EPLAN\nExperience supporting Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) and customer technical reviews\nKnowledge of IEC and BS EN standards\nProject management qualifications such as PRINCE2 or PMP would be advantageous\n\nPersonal Attributes\n\nDetail-oriented and organised\nProactive and solution-focused\nCustomer-centric approach\nComfortable working in a fast-paced project environment\nStrong team player with the ability to build effective working relationships\n\nWhat's on Offer\n\nSalary up to £55,000\nPerformance-related bonus scheme\n28 days annual leave plus public holidays\nPension scheme\nEmployee share ownership opportunities\nHealth and wellbeing support programmes\nFlexible benefits including gym membership options\nEmployee discounts and rewards platform\nOngoing learning and professional development opportunities\nClear career progression within technical project and engineering leadership pathways\nOpportunity to work on challenging, high-impact engineering projects within a collaborative environment
