Job Description
Astute's Renewables team is very proudly partnered with a huge player in the global renewable energy market to recruit a crucial role in technical project development and execution for their UK business. The company design, deliver and run renewable assets up and down the country and we're looking for a Technical Project Engineer to join them to deliver a portfolio of wind, solar and BESS assets.\n\nThis Technical Project Engineer role comes with a salary up to £70,000 and with a car/travel allowance too. To achieve the top end of the salary bracket will require all bases covered and we're looking to pay a relevant salary commensurate to the experience level.\n\nIf you're a Project Engineer with experience in the technical development stages as well as being on site managing technical delivery, looking to work for a key organisation in the global energy transition, then submit your CV to apply today.\n\nResponsibilities and duties of the Technical Project Engineer role\n\nReporting to the Technical Lead you will:\n\nSupport both the development and construction teams at the Client with onshore wind, BESS and solar projects, developing the pipeline as well as contributing to the correct technical construction of these projects\nProviding input into technical and financial modelling to shape decisions when screening potential sites\nDoing some high level, preliminary site design work\nLiaise with the grid around connection requirements and costings\nSignificantly contribute to the requirements for EPC contracts and provide input into the technical terms\nVetting outsourced design works around the civils side of projects, including the PV mounting and racking structures and piling solutions\nAssessing early access and site access conditions, using your civil engineering knowledge to support initial designs\nHave site presence during construction phases and support all commissioning and site testing when required\nNational travel when required for project demands\n\nProfessional qualifications \n\nWe are looking for someone with the following:\n\nA degree in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering, or something very similar\nConcept or high level design experience for onshore wind and solar\nExperience in a Project Manager, Project Engineer or Technical Engineer role\nAn appreciation for the commercial impacts on projects\n\nPersonal skills \n\nThe Technical Project Engineer role would suit someone who is:\n\nDynamic and organised\nSomeone who has worked across multiple technologies\nWilling to travel\nExperience in using AutoCAD \n\nSalary and benefits of the Technical Project Engineer role \n\n£60,000 - £70,000 salary, depending on experience\nTravel/car allowance\nGreat company pension\nPrivate healthcare\nLife insurance\n25 days holiday plus BH\n #LI-TN1\n INDREN\n\nAstute People are acting as an employment agency in relation to this vacancy.
