Technical Project Architect London
Location: Near Oxford Circus
Experience: 5–10 years
Type: Permanent, full-time with some flexibility
We’re working with a close-knit architectural studio of 14 who are looking for a talented Project Architect to join their growing London team. This is a great opportunity for someone who’s ready to take on more responsibility, with strong client-facing and site experience.
The practice has a well-balanced portfolio, and this role will focus on façade remedial projects, while also contributing to new build schemes. You’ll work closely with senior team members and consultants, taking projects from early concept design through to delivery and completion.
This position would suit a proactive architect with excellent technical knowledge, sound project-running experience, and a collaborative mindset.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and contribute to the design and technical delivery of façade remedial projects.
- Prepare and oversee detailed design and construction packages.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants and contractors, including chairing meetings and workshops.
- Apply sound knowledge of UK Building Regulations to ensure compliance across all project stages.
- Support the practice’s role as Building Regulations Principal Designer on select projects.
- Mentor and support junior team members, encouraging knowledge sharing and development.
Skills & Experience
- Very experienced Part II OR ARB-registered Architect with around 5–10 years’ experience (ideally 5+ post-Part 3).
- Strong technical knowledge, particularly in façade remediation and retrofit work.
- Excellent understanding of UK Building Regulations and CDM duties.
- Experience acting as (or assisting) a Principal Designer is highly desirable.
- Revit proficient
