Team Red Dog is seeking a Technical Program Manager – Quality & Test Automation to support a Fortune 100 technology leader, on a high-visibility Windows Admin Center initiative. This onsite role in Redmond, WA blends hands-on automated testing, quality metrics, and program execution, offering the opportunity to directly influence the reliability and delivery of a widely used enterprise management platform.

Top Required Skills (Must Haves):

  1. Automated testing proficiency (2+ years): Hands-on experience writing and maintaining unit, integration, and end-to-end tests, and validating that automated tests execute reliably and collect meaningful results.
  2. Quality metrics and visualization (2+ years): Strong understanding of software quality metrics and experience designing dashboards that clearly surface test outcomes, trends, and risks.
  3. Environment setup and validation (2+ years): Proven ability to install builds, configure and validate test environments, troubleshoot tooling issues, and ensure systems are ready for testing and reporting.

Opportunity Overview:
This role sits at the intersection of program management, test automation, and quality engineering. You will help guide a major Angular front-end upgrade while defining how quality is measured, visualized, and communicated across engineering and leadership. The work is hands-on, highly visible, and critical to ensuring confidence in product delivery for enterprise customers.

How you will make an impact:

  • Interface with engineers and stakeholders on technical and business issues from project initiation through delivery
  • Define and refine quality metrics for Windows Admin Center
  • Align customer and partner quality expectations with updated test automation workflows
  • Install builds, validate environments, and write sample automated tests
  • Ensure automated tests execute successfully and collect results
  • Build and maintain shared dashboards that report test outcomes and quality metrics
  • Report on Angular upgrade progress and overall project health
  • Investigate issues, validate tools, and ensure delivery remains on track and on time

The expertise you bring:

  • 5–7 years of program or project management experience in engineering environments
  • Hands-on experience with automated testing frameworks and quality measurement
  • Experience with systems, operating systems, storage, or networking environments
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted development or testing tools
  • Ability to synthesize technical detail and proactively validate work rather than relying solely on status updates
  • Strong communication skills and comfort working with offshore and cross-functional teams

What makes a candidate highly successful in this role:

  • Comfortable balancing hands-on technical execution with program leadership
  • Proactive in validating environments, tools, and test results
  • Able to explain technical decisions clearly and precisely, without relying on buzzwords
  • Detail-oriented, curious, and willing to dig into issues to uncover root causes
  • Confident presenting quality metrics and progress to both technical and non-technical audiences
