Job Description

Product Manager II, AI SDLC Transformation

Denver, CO - Onsite 4 Days/Week

Long-Term W-2 Contract

About the Client

Our client is in the middle of a major push to bring AI into how its development organization works - across coding, testing, debugging, QA, and every other stage of the software development lifecycle. This is not a pilot. This is a scaled, enterprise-wide transformation affecting thousands of engineers.

About the Role

As the AI Product Manager on this team, you will work directly with senior leadership and the R&D principal engineer to shape that strategy. You will evaluate AI tools and platforms, define how they get built into developer workflows, and help determine what the path to adoption looks like at scale. You are front-of-pipeline on this initiative - the strategic driver who understands both the technology and the developer experience well enough to make the right calls. This is a high-visibility, high-impact role for someone who is already operating in the AI space and wants to help define how a major enterprise organization builds AI into its foundation.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Director of AI and senior leadership to define and evolve the AI adoption strategy for our client's developer organization
  • Work closely with the Principal Engineer (R&D) to evaluate AI tools, developer platforms, and emerging capabilities for integration into the SDLC
  • Define how AI workflows get prioritized, sequenced, and built into the development pipeline
  • Serve as a strategic bridge between leadership, R&D, and cross-functional technical teams (Platform, Security, Data)
  • Manage the product backlog for the AI SDLC program and drive prioritization decisions based on developer impact and business value
  • Support the Developer Advocate in translating product strategy into training, documentation, and rollout programs
  • Communicate program direction, priorities, and progress to stakeholders clearly and consistently

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of product management experience, ideally in a technical or developer-tools environment
  • Hands-on familiarity with AI tools and platforms, particularly in a software development context (Amazon Kiro, Quick, AWS Bedrock, or similar)
  • Background in software development or deep, sustained exposure to engineering teams - this person needs to understand what developers actually need from AI tooling
  • Experience working with R&D or principal engineering teams to evaluate and implement new technologies
  • Comfort operating at the strategy level while staying close enough to the technical details to make credible decisions
  • Strong communication skills across both technical and executive audiences
  • Ability to operate with autonomy in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment

Skills

  • Experience driving technology adoption programs in large enterprise organizations
  • Familiarity with cloud- AI services (AWS, Azure, or equivalent)
  • Background in developer productivity, DevOps, or SDLC tooling
  • Prior experience in telecommunications or other complex regulated industries
