Technical Manager £75,000 - £80,000 Car Allowance St Albans gap construction is delighted to be working with a well-respected regional homebuilder with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality residential developments across the Home Counties. We're seeking an experienced Technical Manager to join their growing team and play a key role in driving technical standards, overseeing design coordination, and ensuring smooth project delivery. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the technical function across residential projects, supporting both design and site teams. Oversee all technical aspects of developments from land acquisition through to site completion. Review and coordinate technical drawings, specifications, and design information to ensure compliance and accuracy. Work closely with consultants, contractors, and internal teams to resolve technical issues and drive effective solutions. Ensure projects adhere to building regulations, company policies, and NHBC standards. Provide ongoing technical support and advice to site teams during construction phases. Act as a key link between project teams, clients, and stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery. About You Previous experience as a Technical Manager , Design Manager , or similar within the housebuilding sector . Strong knowledge of residential construction , building regulations , and NHBC standards . Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive, solution-focused approach. Strong leadership and communication skills, able to build positive relationships with consultants, contractors, and internal teams. Highly organised with an eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple projects at once. Full UK driving license and access to your own vehicle (site visits required).
