About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Technical Manager to lead our Quality function and drive excellence across our operations. Reporting to the Technical Director, this pivotal role ensures compliance with all relevant standards and regulations, while embedding a strong quality culture throughout the organisation. You will act as a key liaison between internal teams, customers, suppliers, and external bodies — ensuring our products and services consistently meet the highest standards.



Key Responsibilities



* Deputise for the Technical Director and provide technical leadership across the site.



* Manage and continuously improve the Quality Management System, ensuring compliance with third-party and customer standards.



* Lead internal and external audits, driving continuous improvement in processes and outcomes.



* Analyse quality data to provide clear diagnostics, actionable insights, and strategic recommendations.



* Oversee complaint management, sensory analysis, and internal quality communication.



* Manage, mentor, and develop the Quality Compliance team.



About You

You are a proactive and analytical leader who thrives in a fast-paced technical environment. You combine deep knowledge of quality systems and regulatory compliance with a collaborative and pragmatic approach to problem-solving.



Skills & Experience Required



* Proven experience in quality or technical management within a regulated food manufacturing environment.



* Strong understanding of HACCP, risk assessment, hygiene standards, and auditing techniques.



* Working knowledge of BRCGS.



* Leadership qualities with experience managing and developing teams.
