The role You will be the technical authority for low-voltage battery charging and DC power systems, leading product development and improving engineering performance across design, manufacturing, and field applications.
This role is both hands-on and strategic
- youll own the product roadmap while actively solving real engineering problems.
You will also play a key role in shaping the future of the engineering team, including capability development and succession planning.
Key responsibilities: Lead development of 12V/24V battery chargers and low-voltage power systems Drive innovation in battery charging, recovery, and DC power management Own and evolve the product roadmap for low-voltage electronics solutions Improve design for manufacture, testing, and product reliability Troubleshoot and resolve real-world issues across design, production, and field use Mentor and develop engineers within a growing technical team Support long-term succession planning and engineering leadership growth What were looking for: Strong background in low-voltage electronics (12V/24V DC systems) or power electronics Experience in areas such as: Battery chargers (industrial / commercial / specialist applications) DC power systems UPS systems (low-voltage / industrial) Embedded power electronics Non-HV EV auxiliary systems (not main traction HV systems) Hands-on engineering experience (design, development, or applied R&D) Practical, problem-solving mindset with attention to real-world application Experience in a manufacturing, SME, or product engineering environment Leadership experience or readiness to step into a technical leadership role Ambition to progress into a future Director-level position Ideal background This role is particularly well suited to engineers from: Low-voltage electronics manufacturers Industrial battery charging companies DC power supply / embedded power systems firms Specialist engineering SMEs working on 12V/24V systems Apply If youre a Technical Manager looking for real ownership, real technical influence, and genuine progression into leadership, apply now for a confidential discussion.
